The Alice Confusion: Chapter 8 (Jordan)

Connection 2016 to chapter 8:

The queen is related to queen Victoria because they played this game call conquest. In the game, The queen was ruthless she would chop the person head off. If you would of beat the queen she chop your head off. But now today rich people play golf because it is expense. So the in the story we could say that was archetypes you could say was the number 2 and 1

The Alice Confusion: Chapter 7 (Za'Laiyah)

In chapter 7, Alice walked in on the March Hare, Dormouse, and Hatter having a tea-party that had a table set up they was kind of fancy but not really. When she went to join, they tried to make her go away. They were very rude to her and talked very crazy. They asked her a riddle that they had no clue what the answer was. And she began to get mad and left to find another hole in a tree that she entered.

This reminds me of Freed-Hardeman University because they have a Victorian tea party annually. In the Victorian time, they had these tea party's for special occasions. FHU holds these tea party's annually to raise money that goes to scholarships. People can become a sponsor or a patron and tickets cost money to get into these tea party's. People pay for their tickets online and attend these tea party's during the spring time for 12:00pm-4:00pm.

The Alice Confusion: Chapter 6

In chapter 6, Alice found a house in which the Duchess was treating a baby horribly and it soon became a pig. She met a cat who pointed her in the direction of the March Hare and that's where she ended up at.

Zalaiyah:
During the Victorian days, people did not always treat their children right. Actually, they treated their children badly. In chapter 6, the Duchess beat the baby every time it sneezed & she even threw the baby across the room. This reminds me of a video that went viral of a Malaysian woman abusing a baby for crying. She pinched, kicked, slapped and did much more to the baby in this video. She even had other children watching as she did these things. The baby continued to cry as she continuously yelled at it. It was very heart breaking and no child should be treated like that. (Link Below)

Connection 2016` Jordan Hayes

I related this show to the story because the nanny took care the rich man kids, and today rich people have nannies to take care of their kids.

So I related this movie to the story because in the book Alice and Wonderland the woman Dutchness was abusing the baby she was hitting the baby throwing the baby towards Alice Dutch did not care about the baby at all. So the girl that was in the movie her name was katie she was trapped in the closet for twelve years and she was getting hit by her parents. I wanted to related this to the story because now so much adults is hitting  kids for no reason at all.

The Alice Confusion: Chapter 5

Keep your temper- in chapter 5, The Caterpillar told alice to keep her temper because she was getting mad. In the picture the girl started crying because she was holding in so much anger and Alice was told to keep her temper that way she wouldn’t end up taking it out on everyone else.

Beware of your surroundings- Alice didn’t know where she was or what to do so she was told that she should always be aware of your surroundings like in the picture the boy was looking at something but didn’t realize there was a crocodile behind him.

Be careful- Alice didn’t know where she was, what to do, or who she could trust and the caterpillar told her to be careful. Alice wouldn’t know who she could and couldn’t trust, for example, in the picture the 2 guys were shaking hands but he didn’t realize that the guy was actually evil but put on a front of actually being nice.
Know yourself- he told her to know herself because she couldn’t remember who she was when she was trying to tell him. The picture shows Donatella Versace before and after she had work done. If she knew herself then she wouldn’t have tried to get her face done and messed herself up.

The Alice Confusion: Chapter 4

Chapter 4:
In chapter 4, Alice follows the rabbit to a house, where he believes she in Maryann, the maid. He sent Maryann (Alice) in the house to find his gloves, but instead she found another bottle that said ‘DRINK ME’. When she drunk the bottle, she began to get big again and semi-scared the white rabbit.  Throughout the whole story of ‘Alice and the Wonderland’, each character relates to a sentence in their own ways whether it was a simple, compound, complex, or compound/complex sentence. A simple sentence is a independent clause meaning that it stands alone and it doesn’t need help  from anyone or anything else. For example Tim Duncan does not need help at all and is very independent. Tim Duncan was on a team by himself  and that season he had gotten a ring. A compound is two independent clauses joined by a conjunction. This reminds me of our Alice and the Wonderland’ project itself because of our real life connection combining. Each group member is independent and we each choose the real life connection that we want but we combine our connections together with different conjunctions to make it ..

The Alice Confusion: Chapter 3

In chapter 3, a caucus race was formed to see who could dry off the fastest from the water that they were once in. Soon after a few minutes, the race became pointless and the animals continued to get wet as they were running because the water continued to come up on the shore. Water meaning change, but in this case there was no change that happened. This relates to the caucus in Iowa of 2016 when Cruz won the Republican votes ending with 27.6% and Clinton winning the Democrat votes ending with 49.9% of the votes. Even though they won majority of the votes for their political party in that state, that does not mean they won the entire election. This makes the political caucus pointless and irrelevant if all votes have to be calculated at the end to see who really won. So, there should be no winner that is said, if it does mean they won the entire election. This also relates to a meme that I created which states “You want me to join this caucus race" with a picture to go along with it. (CLICK THE LINK BELOW) The picture represents sarcasm because we already know that the race is pointless. So, by us joining it, we'd become pointless also.
